Gauge

The gauge is the diameter or thickness of each individual needle.

• 08 - Super Bugpin - 0.25mm
• 10 - Bugpin - 0.30mm
• 12 - Regular - 0.35mm

Taper

The taper is the total length from where each individual needle’s taper begins to the pointed tip.

• Short Taper - ST - 1.5mm
• Semi-Medium Taper - SMT - 2.5mm
• Medium Taper - MT - 3.5mm
• Long Taper - LT - 5.5mm
• Extra Long Taper - XLT - 6.5mm

FYI, a "textured taper" refers to a needle that isn't polished smooth at the taper, resulting in small grooves or indentations on the surface. These grooves help the needle hold and deposit more ink, making them particularly useful for colour packing and shading.

Grouping

Grouping refers to the total number of individual needles in the configuration you are purchasing.
